The sufficiently compacted concrete surface is milled or deep ground in 1 step as needed, then ground in 3 steps and polished in 1-5 steps. The result is a homogeneous-looking stone frame with a terrazzolike aesthetic appearance, an even, smooth and elegantly reflective, shiny concrete surface. During the TOP floor grinding and polishing process, the concrete surface is ground down evenly, thereby reaching the stone frame in the concrete over the entire surface. The surface uncovered in this way is sanded in several steps with finer and finer tools, which reveals the uniform pebble structure in the concrete. After removing the top layer of the concrete surface, this gravel structure can be seen completely evenly on the surface. After the grinding process, the concrete surface is polished. After polishing, the floor surface is smooth, free of any roughness, brilliantly shiny and elegantly reflective, on which the pebbles are evenly visible.
It is easy to keep clean and much more resistant to dirt, truck wheel marks and other wear and tear. The finished floor contributes greatly to the aesthetic experience of the building. It gives a sense of comfort and security. Extremely environmentally friendly.
As a rule, a maximum 0.2-2 mm thick layer is ground from the surface, at a varying depth depending on the straightness of the surface.
Grinding and polishing the floor with a high-performance grinding machine and diamond tools tested by Epo-trend Kft. according to the procedure, it is polished in a series of 5-7 steps, and treated with the same compacting and imoraging agents as the depending on the surface quality.
The final surface appearance of the concrete will be a brilliantly shiny floor surface, usually with a uniform looking pebble pattern. The TOP process is a recommended solution mainly for new or existing concrete floors with a good surface or aesthetic quality, and also for floors. It is the ideal renovation system for old floors of good mechanical quality (sufficiently compactable).
In Hungary, according to the National Fire Protection Regulations (OTSZ), the Epo-trend Clever-Floor TOP floor design is classified as "non-flammable".
Resistance tests on concrete slabs and floors proved that the Epo-trend Clever Floor TOP floor design meets the requirements of the MSZ EN 61340-5-1 standard. Based on the protocols of laboratory tests prepared by GOD-MIN Mérnöki kft. and Epo-trend kft.
The obtained values also met the international IEC and American ANSI/ESD standard requirements. Step tests in ESD shoes showed no or very little static charge. The Epo-trend Clever-Floor PLUS floor never once exceeded the threshold values prescribed by the ESD standard; as by the electronics assembly industry neither the limit values of the applied standard. Based on our measurements, it is recommended for plants operating at a maximum limit of 100V Application of the complete ESD system on Epo-trend Clever Floor TOP floor as well.
Cleaning: A floor polished according to the Epo-trend Clever Floor TOP process must be cleaned with a diamond pad placed on a scrubber-dryer and clean water or, in the case of heavy dirt loads, with Epo-trend 3DW. Smaller, segmented surfaces can also be wiped dry.
